Whites

RONK wines mature in stainless steel tanks which ensures the recognizable varietal taste and pleasant freshness. White wines are meant to be fresh, fruity, vibrant and enjoyable. The reds, on the other hand, are left to mature for a couple of years more, so that they can develop a richer intensity but still maintain their fruitiness and freshness. Everybody can find the favorite one among Ronk wines since they are suitable for every mood and taste.

SELECTUS  is  our premium line of wines. They reflect their terroir and our passionate devotion for the art of winemaking. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected from our best vineyards. The wine matures in oak barrels, after that it is left to stabilise and harmonise in bottles for at least one year before is released to the market. Only the best vintages are labeled as Selectus. It is truly a big wine for big glasses and big pleasure.

We use as little enological interventions as possible in the process of making wines, which requires very thoughtful work in the vineyards.

A lot of effort is put into growing healthy vines and grapes.

Not too many grapes per vine, exclusively manual work and best growing locations are the key to hight quality wines, that can compete on demanding wine markets.

Our goal is to produce unique wines with low acids and velvet softness.

Good grapes are fundamental for the quality of the wine,

so we put a lot of effort and thought in the vine growing. We tend to have a lower return on the grapes, not to over-exhaust the vines and we do all the work by hand.

We try not to harm the nature, so we joined the Association for sustainable farming years ago.

In the vineyards, there is natural grass on the ground and the vines are over 35 years old.

We use single Guyot vine training technique and carefully choose the terrain for each type of vine.

Approximately 36.000 vines are spread on 9 hectares, divided in 12 parcels.

 

Most of them are located in our home village Vipolže, others in Kozana and Cerovo, and the rest in the Italian wine growing region Collio.

Our most produced wine is the autochthonous Ribolla, followed by Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. White wines represent 70 % of the total production.
